From humble beginnings in 1984 with a 2 field complex and growing to an 8 field complex in 1998, SSAA was founded by Simon and Beckie Smith at Peter's Creek, NC located near Fayetteville, NC.

SSAA has grown from a North Carolina association to several states. Encompassing adult as well as youth play.

Programs are offered for: Women, Co-Ed, Church, Industrial, Armed Forces, Black American and Horseshoe play. The adult programs also offer Men's Masters, Men's A Major, A, B, C, D, E, and Recreational. Youth boys, Youth girls offer Slow-Pitch as well as Fast-Pitch for age groups ranging from 8 and under to 19 and under.
